Privacy policy

Grow The Hype Inc. ("Grow The Hype", "we") runs growthehype.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the site, why, and what you can do about it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

• Information you give us. When you send a brief, we collect your name, email, company, budget range, the services you are interested in and your message. When you book a call, Calendly collects your name, email and any answers you provide.
• Campaign details. If you arrive from an ad or email link, the brief form records the campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters) and the page you landed on, so we know which marketing brought you here.
• Usage data. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and clicks on key links such as "Book a call". Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.

How we use it

• To reply to your inquiry and schedule calls.
• To understand which pages and campaigns bring in inquiries, and to improve the site.
• To keep a record of our conversations if we work together.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to the reasons above.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers who process information on our behalf: Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Calendly (call scheduling), Google (Analytics and Tag Manager) and Google Workspace (email). Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Cookies and your choices

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and, if we work together, for the length of the engagement plus the period required for tax and legal records. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account [CONFIRM: retention period, e.g. 14 months].

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent and ask us to delete it, subject to legal requirements. Email hello@growthehype.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
